Easter

Your dead shall live; their bodies shall rise. You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy! For your dew is a dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead.

-Isaiah 26:19

The real meaning of Easter is to celebrate the gift that the Lord has given us, eternal life with our Father in paradise.

Spring is here

We missed the warm weather, but we did not miss Spring ahead.

The hour we lost was brutal this year, but we have some things we’re looking forward to with the return of the warm weather

1. Swimming

Our little swimmers, spend hours and hours in the pool.

2.Backyard Living

Last year we built a pergola over our back patio. It was our biggest built to date, and it was definitely worth it.  This created such a great place for gathering and we enjoyed this space all summer long that we can’t wait to use it when the sun comes out.

3.Froyo

Froyo for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Our favorite is Yogurt Station in Walnutcreek.  Evan has been enjoying grabbing a little bit of froyo after Kung Fu practice.

What are you looking forward to?

Happy weekend friends!

Rain Rain Go Away

the world is but a canvas of imagination

– Henry David Thoreau

Last weekend when it was raining all day long, the kids decided to get creative with an old cardboard box and put on a puppet show. It was called “Community Workers,” which is Evan’s current unit of inquiry at school.

It was a bright little spot in our day and shortly after the sun started to peak through and it became the official start of spring.

Rosie and Daisy

dogs

When we were looking for a family pet, we didn’t think that their personalities would resemble our kids.

Rosie is our one year old Australian Labradoodle.  She is our “Bella”.  She is energetic, doesn’t like to eat, and wants to know everything that is going on.

Daisy is our almost one year old English Bulldog.  She is our “Evan”.  She would be content just hanging out at her favorite spot in the house (any pillow will do) and only gets up to eat.

Even though these two are both so different in personality, they are the best of friends. They are so sweet and enjoy giving doggie kisses all day long.

Not so little anymore

This photo was taken last year, but it reminds me of how fast you’re growing each and everyday.  Daddy can barely carry you now and who would have thought that our little 4lb peanut is now the funny little boy we know today.  Don’t grow up too fast, we want to enjoy these moments a little longer.
